Pedophile PR Attempt Prosecuted

A 30 sq m pub at Nowy Swiat St, in the center of Warsaw, was to be named after Josef Fritzl, an Austrian pedophile who had been holding his daughter a sex slave for 24 years, and was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment.
Lessee of the premises, Robert S., advertised his pub on Facebook in mid-January and was inviting customers for opening. After a worldwide indignation outburst and numerous protests, the magistrate decided to try and persuade S. to change the name of the pub.
Inquired by reporters, S. admitted the controversial name was only a sales gimmick and withdrew from the idea very quickly. However, he was summoned by the magistrate officials for questioning. Wojciech Bartelski, a head of Srodmiescie district said the owner's actions were deliberately targeted at gaining publicity in a short span of time, and showed no remorse when confronted.
In effect the lease contract was terminated and Bartelski submitted against S. a notification of suspected criminal offence of glorifying crime and propagating pedophile acts. In Polish law these are subject to two years imprisonment.
