Airport's Planned Closures Begin

As we reported in January of this year, Warsaw Chopin Airport planned several closures for the month of September. The airport's runways are set to be repaired with new concrete poured at their X intersection.

The closures will go ahead as planned, with only a shortened 1300-metre runway will be open for small passenger traffic will be open for the majority of September. The largest disruptions to the airport's operations will take place from September 3-6, 10-12 and 17-19.

Flights scheduled for these dates have been redirected to cities such as the nearby Lodz or Katowice. Train services to Lodz (approximately one hour away by train) have been increased for the month of September.
