Warsaw to Build World's Narrowest House

Warsaw will soon be home to the world's narrowest house, as the city prepares to fund the building of a home just 152 centimetres across.

Wedged between two blocks of flats in the city's Wola district (near Zelazna and Chlodna streets), this small home will be 12 metres in length. Inside, the multiple stories of the home will be connected via ladder rather than space-consuming staircases. All the basic necessities will be available as well: a bedroom, kitchen annex, office space, and mini bathroom.

The city has already put forward 150 000 PLN towards the building, and its first resident has even been arranged - Israeli writer Etgar Keret.
