Ranting and raving

Around 300 people gathered on Kampa island yesterday to protest at the lack of an official investigation into police conduct at the CzechTek 2005 rave event, at which water cannons and tear gas were used on the crowd. Several dozen ravers and police officers were injured in the operation and demonstrators are angry that 18 ravers are being prosecuted but no police officers.

This is the latest in a string of demonstrations against the lack of investigation into the operation, which cost 31 million crowns to carry out and provoked a great deal of criticism in it's immediate aftermath.
