Zagreb Film Seduces the Judges

Hats off to the chief bods at Zagreb's Tourist Board after their short promotional city video "Zagreb - In the Heart of Europe" scooped third prize at the travel industry's show ITB Berlin. It had some tough competition as this year 94 films fought it out for a coveted prize.

Zagreb in the Heart of Europe is comprised of 18 short promotional films, each holding a magnifying glass up to a particular area or tradition of the city. The spotlight falls on places as diverse as the main railway station, which, unlike others frequented by pimps and peddlers, boasts traditional flower sellers and buskers serenading passers by with Handel to the Trznica Dolac market, populated with locals haggling over fresh cream and cheese.
