Reviews of Shopping in Krakow
I accidentally gave 5 stars but it should be 1.
The ladies that work at this store are very snooty and make shopping there an unpleasant experience. I came in to buy some gifts and was never greeted or offered help. Instead, one employee whisperer to another, then they both stared me up and down. Two days earlier same thing happened to me but I was dumb enough to buy a necklace. This time I just walked out and went down the street to another jewelry store where the staff was polite and I bought 6 pieces of jewelry there. The staff at Boruni should learn some proper customer service etiquette or they will lose business to other competitors which there are plenty of in Krakow.
love this place!!! especially the oysters & scallops. so hard to find fresh like this in Krakow! and there's such a lovely atmosphere.
The perfect place to find a new book! Fantastic for foreigners who love to read but have trouble finding books written in English - diverse selection of literature in the English language (also Spanish & French & maybe something else). Witek was very friendly, intelligent and helped me to choose a Stanisław Lem book to read. I was impressed by the low prices having found English translations of Polish books relatively hard to find and quite expensive elsewhere. As a former English teacher I was also impressed by the selection of language learning materials and I wish I had known about this shop before! Will be back for more novels and for materials to help me improve my Polish :)
got some great books here
i like it, never had any problems, nice brands

really chill place, great tea selection... and tea is life so i'm grateful to have this place in Krakow
You walk into this shop... and everything is just so pretty that you don't know where to look first :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE this market. Ive gotten so many good deals - you really have to have your haggle game on too which is so much fun. great food (especially the famous late night kiebasa van), they even had a party here as a part of the Jewish Culture Festival with famous DJ & stuff, great fun. Hope they continue to use this space is cool ways like that. This market is totally iconic and you will get better deals than at the Plac Nowy one for sure. If you are a tourist in krakow you 100% have to go and see it just to know the city better and to find a truly special souveneir
Nicely located by the picturesque riverfront, great cinema, decent selection of shops... they actually did a fantastic job with the exterior too. Really captured the historical essence of Krakow's architecture instead of looking cheap and tasteless like malls usually do. It looks beautiful. Also they have a food truck festival here on the weekends and that is awesome. love it.
Pretty good selection of stores, toilets are always very busy with long lines but otherwise no complaints.
Man, who hurt you? This review reflected poorly upon your state of mind and not Massolit. It's not at all 'dingy', it's a charming, down to earth, bookstore in a historical building in an ancient city - clearly run by intelligent people with good taste... It's a bit rambling, which people who aren't entirely simple minded like yourself appreciate as actual life & character. The cafe & store are akwardly subdivided? What a weird thing to say... they are divided into different rooms... & they own both apartments of they downstairs... you walk to the door, open the door & go into the next room... how is that a problem for you? opening a door? Sometimes they ask you to leave your bag, yes, but i'm sure they didn't want to have to start doing that. I guess they had enough of a problem with people taking books to feel like they had to take bags. It's not akward though. Also they don't always make you do that. Maybe you just looked a bit crazy... because you seem a bit crazy. Laptops are heavy, anyway, it should have been nice to put it down. They only thing that got hurt here was your ego. I will disagree with you on your one 'compliment' - the books aren't really cheap... the prices are pretty average and sometimes pretty high but that's just cause they pretty much hold the niche in the market being the only real English language book store in Krakow and they have a fantasticly abstract selection. Look - I don't work here and I'm not Massolit's champion or biggest fan, i have no invested interest... but your comment was just so weird and unneccesary and I felt i needed to stand up to a bully (however late i turned up). Massolit do not deserve this strange criticism. They are all around a great place that I'm glad is in Krakow.
love this shop, great selection :)
such cute lollies! love it. perfect presents (and for me;) )
mmm miracle bread!
So good, you can find so much great stuuuuufffff. I got so many cool things - love love love... that's what I have to say! I love factory!
These markets are organized a few times a year, sometimes in consecutive months and sometimes every few months. One has just taken place but they have not yet announced the date one the next Kiermash. Keep an eye on their facebook events page for the next dates. https://www.facebook.com/Kiermash/
thanks, can you give some details about the market, like where and when it happens?
Lol And who FORCED you to go there? Next time, get a map. Or use navigation in your phone if you get lost so easily.
Shame on you for being Polish and writing such disgraceful comments about Poland and Polish ways. You are the one who has lots to learn, my dear.
Can't wait for the next one!!!!! Need to update my threads ;)
We couldn't agree more, Gosia!
Interesting place, have got a couple of nice USSR watches from here. If you want something random to fill your home - this is the place ;)
Absolutely must-be. Great, unique clothes an accessories, furniture, and always great music !
Slightly overshadowed by the more recent shopping centres (Bonarka, Krakowska), but still worth visiting if you are in Kazimierz. There is also a cinema complex, which is a big plus.
Not a big fan of shopping centres, but this has transformed a really shabby part of town into something worth visiting. Full of big brand shops as well as local stores, the prices can be a lot cheaper on some brands than for the same items in the UK! Some people even fly over here just to do their shopping and it still works out cheaper... free wifi, lots of cafes, a food court and one or two reasonable restaurants make this a place to visit for a few hours, but unlike the other big shopping centres in Krakow, no cinema...
