Poland take ten in London Olympics

Polish athletes won ten medals at the London 2012 Olympic games, with two gold, two silver, and six bronze. The winners were Tomasz Majewski (shot put Gold), Adrain Zieliński (weightlifting Gold), Sylwia Bogacka (shooting Silver), Anita Włodarczyk (hammer throwing Silver), Magdalena Fularczyk and Julia Michalska (rowing Bronze), Bartłomiej Bonk (weightlifting Bronze), Damian Janikowski (wrestling Bronze), Przemysław Miarczyński (sailinboard Bronze), Zofia Klepacka (sailboard Bronze), and Beata Mikołajczyk and Karolina Naja (canoeing Bronze. Naja's trainer Marek Stanny said after her medal win that she was an inspiration to Polish youngsters. He told the Polish press: From the beginning when I started training her, I could see that she had character we are very proud of her. We moved the childrens training to watch Karolinas race with them. We wanted to show them what you can get from persistent work. Its such extra motivation for young people, because after all, kayaking is a very demanding discipline.
