Ferris Wheel Frolics

A massive Ferris wheel opens on the bank of the Vistula River this weekend, offering views of Krakow from 12 storeys above ground level. The attraction, known as Diabelski Mlyn (Devilish Mill) in Polish, has 24 completely closed gondolas, each of which can accommodate six people in comfort. It will operate daily, opposite the Skalka Church, from 4pm to 1am throughout the rest of the holiday season. Tickets cost 10zl and 15zl, from the wheel's mobile sales point in Krakow's old town. Sellers will also have information about events and promotions. The grand opening will be on the evening of August 3 at 8pm. Visitors will be able to take advantage of the stunning views straight away - as rides will be free until 10pm.
