How many of you are travelling, there are lots of options to get to Krakow, taxi's are the most expensive.

Hi, thanks for the response, 2 of us travelling and we wanted to know wether we should take the train or the bus and which is safer.

Take the train its far far cheaper, its only a couple of minutes walk to the train stop from the airport, and about a 10 min walk to the Ascot from the main railway station.

The train is good, only 8pln you can get a free bus right outside the terminal that takes you the short trip to the train station, if you want to walk just turn right out of the terminal then bear left at the end of the road then straight down to the station, only takes 5 minutes to walk. If you walk down you may well pass a big mercedes minibus that will take you to near Galeria Krakovska (same distance as the train station to your hotel) the minibus only costs 5pln. Both are perfectly safe.

Buses, local trains, minibuses and trams are all perfectly safe, as are official taxis. Longer distance trains often have reports of theft and many train stations can be fairly ropey places. But the train from the airport is excellent so no worries for you on that account.
