Bus to Auschwitz

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of using public transport and taking the bus to Auschwitz. It looks considerably cheaper, but unsure how straightforward it will be. Thank you.

i got the local buses to Auschwitz in january, it was really easy...u just get on the bus and buy the ticket from the driver (he probably wont speak english but we managed ok!) it was about 7zl i think, so thats 14zl return, which is so much cheaper than what the tour operators charge which is at least 60zl! Auschwitz is free to get entry to so what they are charging for i have no idea!! it does take a while though as the buses go round all the local towns, but its interesting to see outside the city! Everything in the bus station in Krakow is easy to understand and theres signs telling you where the bus is waiting, so you shouldnt have any trouble!
