christmas markets

i know lots of people who have mentioned christmas markets already but i am going at start of december with husband and two friends and am wondering is there just the one market in the main square or are there lots of other things to see ie xmas stalls in shops? also is it really that cold and do you find that the planes are ok as i was in cologne last christmas and was flown to another airport becasue of fog in liverpool ? please let me no i would appreciate any info any one can give me on krakow thanks
