Running in Krakow

Strange question, but I was just wondering is it ok to go running in Krakow in January? Not too worried about the cold, can dress for that, more trying to ascertain what condition the pavements will be in for running on? Thanks, Eddie p.s. Tips for really good traditional Polish restaurant would also be appreciated.

At the moment there's no snow so running is fine. If temperatures drop and it's snowy it's usually OK - it's only when it warms up during the day and then freezes over that everything can get a bit difficult. For decent Polish food try Nostalgia on ul. Karmelicka or a milk bar (e.g. on Grodzka or Bar Smak on ul. Karmelicka).

Hi Eddie, If you like running on a non-slippery surface you can always use the small running track on plac na Groblach just between the Sheraton and Radisson Hotel. I use it and it is free and something that few people realise they can use any time. Give it a try!

hello Eddie, A lot of people runs around the Błonia Square - it`s alike a large meadow between the Al. Focha and Al. 3-Maja. Have a good stay in Kraków! Katie
