The creator of this place is by profession a sculptor and an actress who during her studies in Krakow completely soaked with atmosphere of this city and its local pubs.

She came to the capital to look for a job but after a couple years spent in Krakow Warsaw seemed to be very dull and unpleasant. To feel well here she decided to create a place where you can feel like at home.

Thats how the idea for 'W oparach absurdu' was born.

It is a very relaxed place, where everyone can come and enjoy their time and where you do not need and indeed should not show off.

It is located in Praga Area - Ząbkowska Street, the place is open from 12 until the last guest, has very interestin

decor, concerts every weekend with live music, a lot of jazz, Russian and Balkan music, from time to time 'the Prague band' performs, sometimes blues,

sometimes funk. During the week there are some spontaneous concerts too.

The pub also serves traditional Polish food, especially

home made dumplings 'pierogi' and various kinds of snacks which go well with strong spirits. There is also a room

for smokers.

I loved this place. It felt like you were going back in time. I could just imagine the resistance fighters planning their strategies, particularly in the back section of this bar. We went for a coffee during the day and felt this was the best time to appreciate the place. Not very big.

This is a pretty good place for a beer with friends. Two ticks off the rating for the too loud music from the speakers between the musicians' sets and the fact it's much too small, but 8 marks for atmosphere, drinks and friendly service. A don't miss taste of Krakow in Praga Polnoc.

Praga is the coolest place for nightlife and this place is probably the easiest to find and a good intro to this district. Keep your wits about you though!

I've been leaving here in Warsaw for 3 months since now and In my opinion the best bar in Warsaw, good music and not too loud, vintage design and unique atmosphere!

Nutty place, I'm sure I saw the ghost of Bukowski sitting in the corner with a massive grin on his face!
