Exhibition: Rafaels Ceramics

This new exhibition at the National Museum focuses on the contemporaries of master painter Rafael in Renaissance Italy. Specifically, this show looks at Maiolica istoriato - glazed pottery painted to tell a story. Mythological, religious, and historic themes appear on these ceramics as they were painted with as much precision and care as a canvas.
