The Year of Chopin marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of the most famous Polish composer of all time - Frederic Chopin. This huge nationwide event will be celebrated throughout the year at concert halls in every corner of the land. Chopin 2010 kicks of here in Warsaw at the inaugural concerts on 7 and 8 January with Warsaw Symphony Orchestra and National Philharmonic Choir performing Andante and Polonaise in E-flat major, Piano Concerto in F minor (with Lang Lang on piano), finishing off with Liszt's Missa Solemnis. Tickets for the inaugural concerts are 80-120 zloty.
