Russian-Estonian Talks in Tallinn

Last Friday, Russian-Estonian consultations began in the Estonian capital. The consultations, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov and Chancellor of the Estonian foreign ministry Marten Kokk will concern the state and development prospects of Russian-Estonian relations. According to Titov, there is a number of problems to be resolved.

Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet stated in his report to the parliament that consultations were a sign of the contact normalization between the two countries. A possibility of establishing air traffic between Tallinn and St. Petersburg will also be taken into consideration.

Titov is also going to meet with Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and Metropolitan Cornelius (head of the Estonian Orthodox Church under the Moscow Patriarchate), as well as with a representative of Russian compatriots organization in Estonia.
