Poznan's Easter Market

Similar to the many, much-loved Christmas markets across Poland, Poznan is also home to a quaint Easter Market. Located throughout the Old Town's Market Square, the Easter market is filled with stalls selling all the most essential goods for celebrating the most important holiday in the Catholic calendar.

Various types of food will be available to purchase, from meat to baked goods like cakes and pastries. Other traditional handicrafts will also be on sale, such as handmade Palm Sunday decorations. School and church groups are also set to perform traditional song and dance. In addition, it will be possible to view some truly huge traditional wooden painted eggs ("pisanki") as part of the Pisanka Parade.

The Easter Market will be open from 29 March to 4 April.
