Local Theatre Company Wows in London

One of Wroclaw's most forward-thinking artistic collectives, the Teatr Piesn Kozla (Song of the Goat Theatre) is currently in London performing their interpretation of Shakespeare's Macbeth at the Barbican Centre. Their work has already been featured in the British press, such as a recent interview with the director Grzegorz Bral in the Daily Telegraph.

The Song of the Goat company taken quite an unusual approach to the Scottish play by highlighting the musicality of Shakespeare's language. The actors speak and sing, interlacing Corsican chants into the classic words of Shakespeare.

The Song of the Goat Theatre can be visited in Wroclaw at ul. Purkyniego 1. For those in London, stop by the Barbican's website for full details of performances.
