Music aficionados hankering after a dash of Poland's greatest composer won't be left wanting in Cracow. You can transport yourself to the realm of Frederic Chopin at several evocative venues across town. One such location in the splendid Pod Baranami Palace on the Market Square (No. 27). Still in the hands of the aristocratic Potocki family, this a perfect venue to hear a Chopin recital - reams have been written about the pianist's alleged affair with one Countess Potocka. A second spot to catch a Chopin recital is in a beautiful 16th century hall within the Bonerowski Palace, also on the square. These concerts are held throughout the year by a selection of gifted pianists, such as Witold Wilczek and Kazuko Tsusji. Check the link below right for exact times and dates.

I've just spent a week in Cracow and had the pleasure of hearing Dobrochna Krowka play on 6th September - it was absolutely superb and if I'd only known about it earlier, I would have attended more than one concert. It made my holiday!
For us, the Chopin concert was the perfect ending to a tiring, but very enjoyable, weekend in Krakow.
A beautiful evening outside, the elegance of the Chopin salon inside and the skills of an extremely-talented young pianist. What more could one want?
Enjoyed a fantastic recital in magical setting, superb interpretation and energy by Maria Baka-Wilczek. The time just flew by, under the spell of such wonderful music! Great location and an experience not to be missed.
I have attended three or four concerts here to date - all amazing!! Would highly recommend as a great start to an evening.
I've just returned from a marvelous 2 weeks in Poland. Nine of those days were spent in Krakow. One of the Krakow highlights was the Chopin concert by Maria Baka-Wilczek on July 25 at Pod Gruszka. This baroque salon was the perfect place to hear Chopin and Pani Baka-Wilczek played with true spirit and obvious love for the composer. Most marvelous was the experience of hearing a Polish artist performing Polish music. It definitely was delicious food for the soul. I went to Poland to be immersed in Polish culture -- this concert fit the bill perfectly.
