Wroclaw Teen Wins Photography Prize

A 15-year old from Wroclaw has won a photography competition held by the BBC Wildlife Magazine in co-operation with the National History Museum of London. Mateusz Piesiak's photo won in the category of Young Wildlife Photographer.

The award winning photograph is a close look at two oystercatcher birds, taken on the beach of Long Island, New York. Having wrapped his camera in waterproof material, Mateusz dragged himself across the wet sand to get as close to the birds as possible.

The final product was chosen as the winner from amongst thousands of submissions, and is now available to purchase as a print from the National History Museum's website.
