No Pain No Game

It's not enough to just watch the works presented at Bunkier Sztuki's latest exhibition, "Game Instinct": only the audience who have enough courage to interact with the objects will for a short moment become a part of installation. The dose of specific humour included in these works manifests fully only in direst contact, and well known interfaces behave quite different than what we would expect.

People behind the exhibition are a duo of artists and critics: Volker Morawe and Tilman Reiff, aka //////////fur////, sometimes related to as artistic sadists, due to their provoking and unconventional way of treating the relationship between men and digital devices. Their works have been awarded presitigious distictions, such as Japan Media Arts Award (2003), the honorary award Ars Electronica (2002) oraz the International Media Art Award of the Japanese Art and Technology Centre, Manggha (2003).
