What ever happened to the smooth piano bars of old? The Casablanca style has all but vanished, as have well-cut suits, silver cigarette cases and chivalrous fellows with a tale to tell. But wait a moment. Piano Rouge is on a mission to recreate the suave and slinky world of yesteryear. This atmospheric cellar dive will be hosting live piano performances every night, indeed the whole club has been designed with this in mind. Drop in for a refreshing twist on your standard subterranean hangout. Modern day Humphrey Bogart's will also enjoy the screwdrivers, martinis and other assorted cocktails.

Czarujące miejsce! Fajna atmosfera, dobre jedzenie i muza na żywo. Można tu spędzić czas do północy, albo i dłużej.

I visited it in last day my holiadys in Cracow and regret I've discover Piano Rouge so late! Unique ambiance, delicious food and best Cosmopolitan ever!! We're celebrating my fiance's birthday and we recieved piece of cake with candles from staff. Great live music in the evening - lady with gorgeous voice and pianist. The best evening in Cracow. Worth to come back!

We visited the Piano Rouge to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversery.

Great food, great service, great decor, great music. What more can I say? The staff there gave us a perfect finish to our special day.

Had a wonderful meal here last night. I had the salmon Andy wife had the goulash. It cost us around £40 which included starters and a bottle of White rijoca! Worth every penny! The surroundings were very nice too.

Best meal of the week. Live jazz, amazing setting and the food is superb. Service reasonable and prices very fair for the quality. We loved this place as we could hear to speak, but with great live jazz although we couldn't see the band as they played in the members bar sadly. In the cellars with red lights and a piano bar which is really cool. Try the chicken in cheese it sounds boring but wow wow wow love this place

One of the highlights of the holiday! We didn't eat here (but the food looked good), just had cocktails and listened to a superb young jaz group. Called in to look at the place on Friday night to be told that the concert room was full but we could book a table for the following night at a cover charge of 100 pln for the table (4 of us). Glad we went, "concert room", and indeed whole venue, looks like a stage set from Moulin Rouge. No-one was smoking and we had the best table in the room. The band played from 10pm until 1am and it felt like a private recital. Also we were only charged 30 pln cover charge on top of our bill - worth every penny.

Ate here twice during a 4 day stay in Krakow March/April 2008. Service is slightly slow when sitting outside, but was much better when we stayed indoors. I had the caesar salad, was OK, but mostly lettuce and a few tiny pieces of chicken. My husband had a pasta dish, chicken with spinach in a cream sauce covered in parmesan cheese, absolutely delicious. We both had this dish on our next visit. Menu says it is a nut free restaurant, yet the bread in the basket was a nutty bread! The staff were pleasant, but certainly not service with a smile!

Four of us TRIED to eat here on 26th March 2008, we waited over 1hr 30 mins for our starters to arrive only to find two of them were inedible so refused to pay for them. We were offered an alternative but having waited so long already didn't fancy our chances. After a total wait of nearly 2 hours since arriving at the restaurant still no sign of our main courses so we gave up, paid for what we had already eaten minus two starters and promptly went two doors down the road to a lovely cafe for a snack. Needless to say we were not the only ones experiencing the very poor service that night

With a live jazz session every night, it's hard to drag yourself away and go to other places in Cracow! Would recommend that you dress smart and reserve a table to avoid disappointment though!

We had good reviews about this place, so me and my 3 friends wanted to check this restaurant/jazz club. The first night we were rejected by the bouncer because of our sportshoes... :S Since when you can not enter a restaurant with sportshoes?!

The next night we went back... Because our hotel had good contacts with this restaurant, they arranged and reserved a table for us.

Ofcourse we went with the same sportshoes...

The same bouncer was at the door, only this time it was no problem getting in...

We ordered beef from the menu... but they didn't have beef, saying it was sold out.

We ordered deer from the menu, but they had only one portion. The rest was sold out.

We were forced to eat pasta...

the food we had was good, but the chef needs to do a course how to buy in meat...

The bouncer needs to do a course in 'recognizing big spending clients'

As a visitor to Krakow every few weeks year round, I can say that this bar is in a league of it's own. Well worth a visit and Quality at a small price for English.
