Deborah Cornell. Eclipse and Deluge

The exhibition presents the achievements of the winner of the Grand Prix of the International Print Triennial Kraków 2015. Deborah Cornell merges elements of traditional engraving and the new media in her works. Her long-time interest in the development of technology forms an important context for her works. She embeds or superimposes satellite images of the Earth or stellar constellations, at the same time asking the question how technological progress determines our perception of reality.

The exhibition will present new works created especially for the Kraków display. The show will not only provide an opportunity to encounter the extraordinary world of Deborah Cornell’s imagination, but also provoke wider questions on the condition and identity of contemporary graphic art.

The exhibition will be prepared jointly with the International Print Triennial Society in Kraków.
