Known also as the Pharmacy Under the Eagle, this is the little chemists shop on the corner of Plac Bohaterów Getta, where an unobtrusive hero worked to save many lives in the ghetto during the second world war. Tadeusz Pankiewicz was the only non-Jewish resident of the Ghetto, and his clandestine activities kept many of the other inhabitants alive, even if only for a little longer. His bravery is remembered in this small but dense exhibition, which really gets beneath the surface of daily lives for ordinary people in the Ghetto.
