Editor's review

There's a classic recurring scene in Hollywood thrillers where the hardened cop sharpens his skills at the firing range. Perhaps he's just lost his buddy in a heist that went wrong, or maybe it's just that the bad guy in his sights this time round is super bad, and we know that our hero has to be sharper than sharp to win the day. But do such places actually exist outside of the silver screen? Well, at the Krakow Valley complex you can step in the shoes of our hero and bang away for God, King and Country. Various types of ammo are available from Brownings to Lugers.

I'll share my recent experience! I went there 2 days ago.

Prices were good; 10 Zloty for initial gun rental, 1 Zloty per bullet used, and 1 Zloty for a target (how many paper targets you have is up to you).

My total bill was 64 Zloty as I shot 50 bullets, 10 Zloty for pistol rental, and 4 targets. The entertainment lasted well over an hour and it was great fun, all for about £15. Left with a huge grin on my face! :)

Tuition was very good; the staff do indeed speak good English and are professional.

To get there from Krakow Market Square we walked to the bus station off Zygmunta Augusta (the bus station is next to the railway station, easy to find on a map), and got a bus to Krzeszowice, then walked a short distance to the bus station where minibuses take you to Paczoltowice. We showed the driver "Gun range" in Polish and he told us when the correct stop to get off was thankfully. It was dark when we left so we got a taxi back to Krzeszowice bus station to catch the return minibus to Krakow but even with the short trip in the taxi the whole trip was pretty inexpensive.

10/10 from me!

Amazingly cheap and fun. If you're up to it just phone up to see if there will be space on your day and that's it. Don't do group prices - just do single (it is the same and cheaper and the instruction is all free the group price is only for reserving lots of lanes for say umm stag parties or local competitions).

Get the train from Krakow. Then get the autobus 'speed bus' that stops near the 2nd church after going through the park. Then get off at your stop and go uphill and you'll find it.

Make sure you have a list of handy words (in Polish) wherever you go. Ie: gun, club, horse, golf, hotel (it is on the site of a country club), bus, train, thank you.

The staff at the shooting centre speak good english and were great.

YOU MUST GO SHOOTING!

It is so scary at first using the non-sporting equipment.

An experience I will never forget :)

Absolutely fantastic experience. This was something I had wanted to do since we organised my stag for a group of twelve of us. However, just before we got there, a little hungover and worse for wear for the hour journey it takes from central Krakow, I wasn't so sure I had made the right choice. But straightaway the lad who greeted us was very friendly, checked none of us were drunk, gave a very good english speaking safety and guidance talk and then we were straight into it. Amazing value at £25.00 a head for over 70 bullets (Inc 3 with a pump-action shotgun!) We even paid a little extra at the end to use some other weapons he had. We lovey gunny!

BEST TIME EVER! We paid around £25 for the use of 4 guns; gloc, riffle, revolver & shotgun. we had the place to ourselves and the instructors were great! Book through them and not through an english company! Dont pay stupid stag do prices when you can arrange it yourselves!

Watch out for the bestman trigger fingers dave who was awesome with a shotgun!

wwwwhhooooaaa were in the army now!

Absolutely brilliant!. 100% professional outfit. Turned up 2 find an English speaking instructor who explained all the safety rules etc. Then given a wide choice of weaponry to fire. Prices very low £2 top hire weapon £15 for 50 9mm approx. The range was indoors and to a very modern standard. As a UK military weapons tech I would recommend this to anyone. 100% Safe 100% Professional 110% Great Fun get yourself there now!!!!!.

"What an experience, very cheap considering its 10zloty(£2) to hire a glock 9mm then 75zloty (£15) for 100 bullets" when in Krakow its a must!

We went there as a trip for seven of us, which was an ideal size. The shooting range is well organised and the staff very friendly and helpful. No English spoken so for the safety instructions it's wise to take along a Polish speaker. The guys have a decent variety of pistols and a fearsome-looking pump-action shotgun, but you'll have to ask specially for that. There is a high-quality (and high-priced) restaurant on site, but the shooting won't break the bank. Highly recommended.
