Wroclaw Airport To Grow

Wroclaw's diminutive Copernicus Airport is to receive considerable expansion in a project that will cost 670 million Polish zloty (around 175 million euros).

With Wroclaw tourism and business on the rise, the capital of Lower Silesia is predicted to be handling 4.5 million passengers from its airport by 2012 - the year that European Football Championships are coming to Poland. In addition the city is a strong candidate for the Expo 2012, making terminal, runway and apron expansions essential for the coming years.

Construction will begin in six months.
