La Rocca Hitesh: Does it have psytrance parties? Essential Club Hans: Hey Dutch, I'm sorry for you. Perhaps your are still living the cold war? If you would wake up you might discover, that most of the Eastern Europe countries never felt to be "eastern" and are trying their best to reestablish modern and democratic way of life - the one they lived before caught by communism. ...or feel free to sleep furtheron - it's up to you. Essential Club Dutch: I have never went to latvia or to riga or the clubs mentioned. And i wont even go to eastern europe at all to have vacation or for fun. I bumped into this review, read some comments and had some laughs about the naive people among us. To those people especially, but to the others too, i want to say this, WAKE UP people, we are the West... the so called Triple A countries, bailing out the poor eastern / southern european countries. So if you go to the 'east' and even if you are friendly to them(yes !!) they will still envy you and hate you deep inside.. because YOU 'WE' have more, better, best of everything they have or dont have. If you want to have a great vacation and big fun.. and no scam etc.? Than stay in your own 'atmosphere' and go to countrys that are equal to your own country. And if you still want to have a taste of eastern europe? just look out of your window at the way to work, and watch the cars with the eastern licensplates. just my 2 cents. Paddy Whelan's Paddy Rix: Craic Agus Ceol ***** Leningrad Yeah: Hell yeah. Rock'n'Roll place! Kiwi Bar Kev: Friendly folk always ready with a smile - and a beer! Perfect place for watching sports. Nobody Writes To The Colonel Julia: This is an awesome bar. My friends and I were planning on making it our regular place to go as we loved the crowd and music. That was until we were bullied by a 21 year old bartender and a young manager. We were not rowdy, were having a good time and sitting at the bar. The manager was working behind the bar on Friday night March 28th and with a little witty banter he started to get very offensive towards us. I told him I didn't want any trouble and he said, "I run this place and I can speak to you however I want to speak to you." We did not partake in the dramatics and decided that there were more positives than negatives and we would brush it off as silly boy taking his agression out on us. We returned March 29th for a end of night cocktail and the young bartender and manager were there drinking with their friends. They seperated my friend and I and sat beside us to start instigating fights once again. The manager repeated, "I can speak to you have ever I like, do you understand now?" By politely brushing that off him and his employee left to continue drinking. The young bartender came back and again we had witty banter and a harmless battle of wits. None of these guys respect women or like for them to have a voice so he said that we were stupid Canadian girls who asked too many questions. (We were asking about a stone that he had recently put in front of each of us at the bar. No clue what it was about.) He decided to attack me in the most pathetic way possible by calling me fat. We immediately left the bar without saying a word. We will never return as I have never in my life experience bullying like that. Completely uncalled for and for a manager to be looking for a way to kick us out and push our buttons is absolutely unprofessional. What customer service eh? The owner has a great bar, I feel sad for him that he employed such rude men. Moon Safari Mark: Awesome! Burlesque Guest: Really had a great time here. Perfect if you are in the right frame of mind. Have fun! Mad House EastwoodDK: Cool place - more Latvian than Russian. Superb house & rnb music. Always friendly barstaff. Been there so many times - outside bar in summertime with live dj!
