As in previous years, so also in the new season 2017/18 Krakow Opera, in addition to artistic projects, also implements the educational.
With the support of the Malopolska Region, our theater has prepared a series of classes for students. This is an original project of the Krakow Opera.
Meetings will be held once a month (November 2017 - June 2018), and for their theme will be chosen a performance in the current repertoire of the theater.
#opera for young audience of opera art will be an opportunity to meet among others. with the creators of the show or the artists and the space to talk about their concept, and thus the key to a better understanding of art. Participants will get acquainted with the story and music of the selected spectacle, will watch scenography and costumes, and will also have an insight into the score. The end of each meeting will be participation in the discussed opera. With the support of the Culture Bonuses, participants will have the opportunity to watch the show at a promotional price. The theme of the first meeting (18 November, 18:30) will be the use of scene technology on the example of R. Wagner's opera "Tannhäuser". A day later - November 19, participants will watch a performance. On December 10th we will tell about Polish dances, and the pretext for this will be the national opera "Monster's Fool" by Moniuszko (after the show the audience will see the show).
Maximum number of participants is 36. Tickets for the meetings are 6zl, and at the shows - 14zl will be available for purchase at the Cracow Opera House on October 14, with the presentation of a valid student or student ID card. Workshops are organized within the framework of the "Bon Culture" project, which is an initiative of the Małopolska Region and regional cultural institutions.
