Tribute to NAT KING COLE

Lovelies! We invite you to a concert dedicated to the great jazz vocalist "Tribute to Nat King Cole. Live jazz music at Piwnicy pod Baranami".

The concert will be held on August 17, 20.00 in the Cracow Piwnica pod Baranami, Rynek Główny 27

"Nature Boy", "Mona Lisa", "Too Young", "Unforgettable" and many other evergreens from Nat King Cole's repertoire will be heard during Thursday's jazz concert at Piwnica pod Baranami.

Cole (1919-1965) was born in the United States in Montgomery, Alabama. Endowed with a warm voice of beautiful color and depth, he began his career as a pianist. Since 1937 he began performing in jazz clubs in Los Angeles. In 1939 he founded Trio King Cole (with Oscar Moore and Wesley Princ). At first, strong relationships with jazz over time became loosening - Nat King Cole went down to world music history as a singer singing great, universally recognizable ballads. He smoked three packets of cigarettes a day. He maintained that tobacco smoke allowed him to retain the specific color of his voice. He died prematurely of lung cancer at age 46. He is the father of singer Natalie Cole.

In the world of Cole's songs they will introduce us: Marek Słoma Słomiński - vocal, guitar, banjo Michał Pijewski - vocal, piano Jerzy Więckowski - drums Andrzej Owczennikow - double bass

Tickets: 30zł (pre-sale) / 35zł (on the day of the concert) to be purchased in Piwnica pod Baranami, Rynek Główny 27
