Dragon Parade 2015

As any Cracovian child will tell you, a devious dragon used to live in the cave below the castle. One day, the scaly sod went on a killing spree, munching any mammal (including humans) he could get his teeth into. Eventually, a wily cobbler came up with a cunning plan. He left a sheep's carcass stuffed with sulphur outside the beast's lair - the fire-breathing fellow ate the bait and promptly exploded.
This lurid legend is celebrated in an annual bonanza that's fun for all the family. Around lunchtime on Sunday, May 31, tens of draqons will take to the streets for the 15th time. This year's theme is the culture and heritage of Malopolska. The grand parade will be preceded by an evening laser show by the river on Saturday evening. And all afternoon on Sunday there will be open-air picnics and all kinds of bouncy-castle shenanigans. Join in outside the Dragon's Den.
