Concert: Legend of Kazimierz

The band was formed in 2013 in Krakow. The musicians have combined their experience and skills developed in various musical centres (ie. Music Academy in Krakow and in Katowice). They perform ‘root music’, which has been influenced by the Mediterranean region. Elements of Jewish music, Balkan temperament (Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania) and Gypsy energy (so called “Jewish Gypsy”) are also prevalent. A central feature of their repertoire is the distinctive style of their own compositions. These talented musicians have worked with many celebrities from around the world, including Nigel Kennedy, Hans Zimmer and Michał Urbaniak.
