Sally Mann

Sally Mann is a photographer whose work has provoked a mixture of reactions - from admiration to controversy. This exhibition, family and the earth, focuses on two of her recurring themes, telling portraits and images of nature.

But don't take these pictures for granted. At first glance, they look perfectly ordinary and charming. Look a little closer, and you will see why Mann has an ability to shock - as in the shot 'Emmett's Bloody Nose' (pictured).
