Editor's review

The Bagatela Theatre is dedicated to the memory of Tadeusz Boy-Zelenski, who brought a breath of fresh air to Polish literature a century ago. The writer and doctor lived in a flat on the corner for many years. Originally, the theatre was designed for children and it has retained a lighter touch than many of it's peers in town. Roman Polanski made his debut here as a young man. Today, there are a good range of musicals amongst other light pieces but there are also more adult orientated contemporary productions.
