September is a great time to enjoy the Polish countryside and go on a hiking tour. There are numerous trails through the mountains, and shelters. You could incorporate Slovakian areas too. If you curious about less steep terrain, you might also try the Beskid Niski range. Spellbinding. The Tatra Association of guides, can offer expert advice.

Hi there, look out for the special zakopane life Trails Maps, in English. You'll find them in bars, restaurants and hotels throughout the area. And there are all free. Enjoy the break!

If I were you, I would buy in a shop or internet ( on allegro.pl or ebay ) a book about trekking paths in Tatras Mountains with maps, photos...I do not know where you live but if you cannot get this book sent to you, I may do it for you.I may sent you as well the zakopane life trekking map. I guess the best would be in english version for books and maps.As well, if you are looking for a comfy accomodation in Zakopane , closed to all trekking paths in the National Park, please do visit www.ogrodygorskie.pl , with english version available, and contact us by email to make a reservation.
