Hello Katarzyna, My wife and I will be in Zakopane in Feb 2008 for World Cup Nordic Combined Competition. What temperature will it be during the day on average? Is the snowfall heavy? Will I need chains if I rent a car? Is it safe for my wife to go out alone during the day while I am busy? What special items are made in Zakopane or the region?

Hi Kasia. Could you please tell me if we can stay in bed and breakfast (noc legi?) over christmas - or will they be shut? also, can you tell me if snow fall is usually good enough to snowboard at christmas, or is it too early? Dziekuje, Roman.

Hi there I wonder if you can help ? We are really looking forward to visiting Zakopane next Feb and would love to do some winter-walking and snow-shoeing. We are staying in a lovely B & B, but unfortunately we will need to organise any of these events ourselves. Please can you give any advice as to how we can do this ?Also, we are flying into Katowice and can't decide whether the best way (and cheapest) is to go by train or bus from Krakow to Zakopane. What would you advise ? Many thanks in advance for your help and advice. Kind Regards Rose

Also, could you recommend a fairly cheap but comfortable place to stay which will have somewhere to hire snowboarding gear nearby? Thank you for your help! hope to hear from you soon -Alex l

Hi Kasia, two quick questions: I'm hoping to visit Zakopane December 12-14 and snowboard at Nosal. First, will there be enough snow in two weeks? Second, how many zloty per day will snowboard and clothes rentals plus a chairlift pass cost? Thanks, Graham
