Strings of Autumn

When the New York Times calls a festival “One of Prague’s most innovative musical undertakings”, you know it’s something worth looking into. Strings of Autumn has taken place in Prague since 1996, when then President Vaclav Havel asked two students of arts management to create a musical programme for Prague Castle. The festival now takes place across the city, and unlike what the festival’s title might lead you to think - it doesn’t focus solely on string music. This year’s highlights include performances from Sonny Rollins, Hiromi, and Philippe Jaroussky & the Venice Baroque Orchestra.
