Fourteenth Century Skulls Found

As many as fifty human skulls have been discovered in Gdansk by a church employee of the Repentant Sinners Chapel, thenews.pl has reported. The chapel is the oldest part of St. Brigid's Church from the 14th century, a church which saw one part of the saint's funeral procession for two weeks as it made its way from Rome to Sweden.

The human skulls, as well as a several full skeletons, were found in the crypt of the chapel - the largest crypt in the church. It hadn't been opened for a long time, so church employees peeked inside using a camera attached to a broomstick.

St. Brigid's Church can be found at Profesorska 17 in Gdansk.
