Biker Santas Cross Gdansk

One of Gdansk's most unusual Christmas traditions is the annual Santa Claus motorcycle parade, which took place on 5 December this year. Despite bitter cold and snowy conditions, nearly 700 bike enthusiasts (last year over 2000 Santas participated) braved the weather driving from Gdansk to Gdynia in full Santa Claus dress in support of charity.

The tradition began in 2003 with just a small group of friends and has grown exponentially over the years, attracting Santas on motorcycles, scooters, and quads from across the country. Each Santa must pay a 20 zloty entrance fee which is donated to schools and educational institutions for hot meals for children.
