Diehl launches R&D centre in Wroclaw

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) The German company Diehl Controls, which has a plant 60km from Wroclaw, is launching a Research and Development centre in the city. Fifty engineers will be employed there.

Diehl Controls is launching an R&D centre in Wroclaw to support the operations of its competence centre in Germany. The company will invest four million Polish zloty and employ fifty engineers in the first stage.

It may be up to eighty people altogether. We won against several big rivals, Rafal Dutkiewicz, Wroclaw's mayor said.

Diehl Controls has had a plant in Namyslow since 1999 where it employs five hundred people and produces elements for the home appliances industry. Worldwide, the company employs over two thousand people and has EUR 275m of sales.
