If you've been wondering what that multi-coloured abomination of a structure across the Daugava is, wonder no further - it's Riga's salute to consumerism in 14,000 square metres. Designed for friends and families to shop and gather for hours, this American-style mall includes the standard variety of European chain shops, as well as a food court to refuel in before shopping some more. For the carless or lazy, there is even a convenient free of charge shuttle bus between downtown Riga and Mols. As the giant sign christening the building says, the centre is open 10-22.
