Poles And Brits Win Design Awards

Britain's The Guardian and Polish daily Rzeczpospolita have been voted the world's best-designed newspapers.

Five judges from the Society for News Design reviewed 389 newspapers from 44 countries before naming the two titles the winners of the 27th annual best newspaper design creative competition.

"The winners were as close to perfect as they could individually and collectively be. The two papers received our unanimous vote for maintaining quality and freshness on every page," the judges said.

The judges will finish their deliberations today regarding the 18 other competition categories, the winners of which will be posted on the society's website snd.org.
