Summer at the City Museums

Sun 1st

Wroclaw's City Museums have got plenty to offer both the young and old this summer, with several special events and exhibitions scheduled throughout July and August. First up is "From Wroclaw to Boden Lake" following the life and works of Wroclaw-born, expressive realist painter and graphic artist Walter Eberhard Loch (12 June - 28 August) which will take place at the Royal Palace (ul. Kazimierza Wielkiego 35). Another notable exhibition this season is the far-reaching "World in Our Museum" taking place at the Archeological Museum (Arsenal, ul. Cieszynskiego 9). Visitors will be able to peruse the museum's extensive collection of artifacts from both the Silesian area and from as far away as Egypt or Greece until 29 August. Another new addition to the Museum is the availability of guided tours in English in the Royal Palace, Ratusz, and Jewish Cemetery locations. Finally, don't forget to check out the museum's Summer Vacation series where every Tuesday and Thursday will be organized a different (free!) educational and fun event for the kids.
