Opera: Turandot at the Stadium

As if going to the Opera was not a grand enough experience on its own, the Wroclaw Opera, in co-operation with the Great Theatre in Poznan, has chosen the Olympic Stadium in Wroclaw as the setting for this "mega-production" of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot. An enormous 100x150m stage will be constructed allowing for thousands of spectators to view this multimedia performance - after all, the stadium does have a 35 000 capacity.
