Concert: Rachmaninoff

The final performance of the season for the Wroclaw Philharmonic Choir will take place tonight at the St. Elizabeth Church. The program consists solely of the Vespers Op. 37 (also known as All-Night Vigil) by Sergei Rachmaninoff, a choral piece the Russian composer first premiered in 1915. The work is based on the texts from the Eastern Orthodox All-Night Vigil ceremony and consists of 15 separate movements. Concert begins at 6pm.
