Easter Pisanki and Palm Branches

Tue 13th
Mar

Two artistic crafts are most associated with Easter time in Poland - pisanki, and decorated palm branches. Essentially dyed and decorated eggs, pisanki remain a popular tradition in Poland though the traditional methods of creating designs with wax or scratching are usually left to the professionals, such as the ones that will display their works at this exhibition. Similarly, decorated palm branches (though they can be made of many different types of wood or branches) are also a big part of the Easter craft culture, and are colourfully decorated with flowers, leaves, and ribbons. Many of the items on display at the exhibition will be available to purchase at the closing Easter Market at 10am to 4pm on 31 March.
