Based in Krakow, this three-piece band has been performing their remarkable mix of klezmer and jazz since the 90s, though it wasnt until roughly 2000 when a certain world-famous anti-establishment violinist happened to discover them that their music suddenly went global. That violinist is of course Nigel Kennedy, who went on to record and tour with the band for several years. However, even without Kennedy, Kroke can easily hold their own, performing intimate, beautiful concerts again and again.
