Born in Upper Silesia in 1892, Jadwiga Sornik moved to Wroclaw before the First World War. She began her work as a photographer and was most active in the aftermath of the Second World War in the summer of 1945. Her portraits of Soviet soldiers and Polish policemen are the highlight of this exhibition, in which hang approximately 100 of her works.
