Wrocław's Best Shopping Malls

3 min read    0 comments

Shopping! Love it or hate it, we all gotta do it sometime and the best place to find a diverse selection of stuff for sale is undeniably that castle of commerce, that palace of purchase: the shopping mall. Whether you’re a magician in need of a new set of throwing knives, a sailor in need of a new telescope or tiger in need of some new stripes - you can find just about everything at the mall. If you’re visiting Poland for a few days and want to take advantage of the excellent foreign currency exchange rates by purchasing some high-quality locally made products, search no further.

We’ve already done the research for you, compiling a list of the best and brightest shopping malls in all the land (well, in Wrocław). We hope our article can send you in the right direction because we know that figuring out where to find what you need can be a real headache.
To the Shopping Malls of Wrocław we go! Tally ho!

Renoma

When you feel the need for some retail-therapy, a really non-therapeutic part of the experience can be the often souless structure of the mall itself. We love Renoma because rather than being covered in weird tinted windows and abstract grey cement, it’s actually worthy of a visit for the architectural value alone. A ‘shopping house’ rather than a ‘shopping mall’, this gorgeous five-story modernist building, erected in the 1930s, has historical charm absolutely glowing from its elegant facade.

"For us, a department store is much more than shops - it's Renoma, which we have been enjoying for generations. We want everyone to feel special here, because that's what Renoma is - one of a kind. " - Renoma Owner

With everything you could possibly desire right at your fingertips, it’s a pleasure to spend a few hours or even the whole day here. 120 storefronts (including Renoma-exclusive brands), lush restaurants, a hairdresser, travel agent, gym, bookstore, pharmacy, florist. Even events such as concerts and film screenings take place on the roof in summer. Renoma is almost like an all-inclusive resort. The crowning beauty of this temple of temptation is its spectacular rooftop view over the city of Wrocław.

Wroclavia

With Wroclavia we move away from the classical and into the modern; this shopping centre is all about convenience. Centrally located with tram, bus, train, and cycling access, we’re sure you could even find somewhere to pull up your steam-liner or park your jet. The building itself is absolutely space age. With a design on reducing their carbon footprint, Wroclavia's future-minded architects emphasized the use of natural materials, sustainable roofing material, and cool vertical gardens. No teleportation beams yet but we’re sure they’re working on it.

Enough about the outside - what’s on the inside? 80% fabulous shopping, 18% fun & food and just a dash of happy customers. Aside from more than 180 shopfronts, a huge 18% of Wroclavia is full to the brim with entertainment activities (such as the first & biggest IMAX® cinema in the city), restaurants & cafes (experience the Dining Experience™ at the Grand Kitchen). Bring your friends, your family and your robots - the futuristic Wroclavia Shopping Centre is a galactic leader in pure shopping joy.

Arkady Wrocławskie

Last but certainly not least, this destination shopping centre also has the public transport hookups and the central location to encourage your visit, but what makes it special is its functional family-friendly attitude.

The implementation of their vision to make Arkady Wrocławskie a welcoming place for both adults and children is already well underway, helping parents and spreading joy to the kiddos with the Family Centre for Education and Fun ‘Klockownia’. Full supervision while you get your shopping done, 2 play areas, birthday parties plus accessible architecture and toilets for the little ones. In early 2019 it will be upgraded to 5 play areas and even a cafe for parents.

Whether you’re bringing the zoo of flying solo, Arkady Wrocławia is still a great choice to find what you need. 110 stores with unique brands, a fitness centre, characteristic cinema and, of course, a dedicated gastronomic zone to fuel your fun shopping time.
