Reviews of Pubs in Tallinn
Great!
Oh how we miss you. We only had 4 days in Tallinn and somehow made Hell Hunt our local. Great food, service, and drinks. A place and people that deserves large tips simply to balance the value we recieved.
Loved the place tasty snacks good ale and great service! Will be back this summer
Excellent, very low prices, it is H E L L
Overpriced tourist place.
Relaxed place for a drink. Recommended.
Top place.
Super place - great fun all round !
Most solid pub. No bachelor parties allowed (Estonian women will not put up with any fuss). Buy a round for the locals, or for a few of them anyway. They will appreciate it. Tip your waitress, she probably works harder than you do.
One of my favourite places to hit when I am in Tallinn which is only once every 3 or 4 years it seems. It's worth the walk uphill.
Absolutely fantastic! Massive selection of beers, great food served in hearty portions, we recommend the burger, tomato soup, garlic mushrooms, deep fried cheese, shepherds pie and all the salads. In fact we loved everything we ate. (And we ate and ate), friendly and attentive staff, really chilled out atmosphere whether having quick beer or out all night. The only negative is that it gets packed on weekends so you either need to get there early or book table.
Had a couple of drinks there one night and ate there another - 18th October 2012. Nice atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and one young man was particularly good- anticipating our needs as regards a the table because there was live music on a little later. Music was an accordian player and guitarist. They were good musicians although the music was not always to our taste- 'Marrie's Wedding- skip we gaily, on we go etc.' The food was pleasant - I had sea bass [under 20 Euros] Not as cheap as some places, but on a par with restaurants on the main square.Interesting b&w photos of older Hollywood stars in their prime. Would I go again? Certainly.
is there Internet connection?
Great pub, loved by locals and visitors, good selection of beer, including their own dark/light/cider. Simple cheap food.
we where there over new year great beer, great bar
nice place good service. Smiling staff. And sergeant controling in and outside. Suddenly the Crazy Dayz started.
visited for food and a few beers on recent trip to watch rovers v flora match great bar food was brilliant very friendly good staff made very welcome back in november will make this my local cant say enough good things about this bar
Great service, staff are very friendly. The bar has a chilled out vibe with live music on at the weekends. If your non clubbing person, check this place. Will definitely be telling people about Scotland Yard (bar)
I just came back from Hell Hunt as Im still in Tallinn, this place is very good and the service is very good. The food was very good. I recommand it.
Wicked bar, good atmosphere, nice food!
Great place to eat and drink. Very GOOD value but watch out for the drunk Finns that come over on the ferry from Helsinki. As the booze is much cheaper in Tallin they get absolutely sloshed. We saw one guy propped up on a stool with a long slippery sliver of drooling fleghm hanging from his chin that almost reached the floor. As each minute that went by he gradually slipped off the stool into a heap in the floor. Fantastic entertainment never to be forgotten. He was eventually led out but kept coming back- great stuff :-)
When we were in Tallinn we found this by accident and went twice, both times were the only tourists in and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and the beers and cider were excellent.
After a week in Tallin, i find this the best bar so far. Superb food, lots of different beer brand`s and a cossy athmosphere.
We had a few drinks here on a Sunday evening in Oct and we were the only tourists. One chap brought his young son in for a snack, others looked looked like local students. No other english speakers but us. Very enjoyable and the food looked great.
Hell Hunt is full to the brim with tourists most nights. There is more English spoken inside than Estonian. It's a great place, but certainly not a non-touristy place like the review says.
