Russian Winter Festival

Tue 25th
Dec

Every year the Winter Festival arrives in major cities in Russia for twelve days to liven up festivities just before Christmas (which is celebrated on 7th January in Russia, and not the 25th December!). In Moscow the centre of the action is Izmailovo Park, where visitors are treated to all manner of live acts and performances (many around a traditional Russian folk theme), and are invited to dance around the new year tree or embark on sleigh rides through the picturesque winter parkland. Russian pancakes, caviar, tea and bagels will be on hand to keep your body fuelled!
